Mugabe's disregard for human rights continues

Under Robert Mugabe’s Zanu PF, human rights violations against the citizens of Zimbabwe continue.  There have been frequent attacks by police on supporters of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), despite widespread international criticism.

ZANU-PF land seizures

15th February.

One year into Zimbabwe’s unity government, President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party is continuing its policy of confiscating land owned by white farmers. One million farm workers have also now been made both landless and jobless; 100,000 of which have found employment in farms in South Africa.
