Call for Applications: Executive Officers Elections and Board Officers Appointments
Dear UCL STUDENT,
November will see the election of the UCL Student Human Rights Programme’s Executive Officers. All UCL students (undergraduates and postgraduates, at any stage) are entitled to stand for the positions below but only members are entitled to vote (all UCL students may become members at any time. See how on our website: www.uclshrp.com). Should you wish to apply, the following positions will be available:
Executive Officers:
1. President
2. Vice-President
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. External Relations and Innovations
In addition to the above mentioned positions, the following positions of Appointed Board Officers are becoming available to all UCL students.
Board Officers:
UCL Human Rights Review Editor-in-Chief
UCL Human Rights Bulletin Editor-in-Chief
Events Co-ordinator
Website Administrator
Abolition of Freedom Audit Co-ordinator
ECHR Moots Co-ordinator
Sponsorship Manager
Publicity Manager
Grass Roots Co-ordinator
International Action Team Co-ordinator
Equal Rights Trust Research (ERT) Co-ordinator

Applications
Applications will be open from 15/10/2010 until 07/11/2010, 10 pm. All applications should be sent to secretary@uclshrp.com and must be accompanied by:
1. Cover letter expressing which of a maximum of 2 positions you wish to apply for (and/or in which initiative(s) you wish to get involved). Please highlight:
(a) Any previous involvement with the UCLSHRP
(b) Relevant skills & experience
(c) Relevant interests
(d) Evidence of a pro-active attitude
2. Curriculum Vitae
Elections (Annual General Meeting - AGM)
Date: November 22 (Monday), 7pm.
During the AGM the new Officers will be selected by direct vote of all eligible members of the Programme (i.e. those who have been members for at least 28 days prior). For more details, see section 11 of the UCLSHRP Constitution available at http://www.uclshrp.com/about/constitution
Mandate
The currently elected and appointed officers will be in office until the next AGM, in November 2011.
Results
- The election results will be announced by 23/11/2010 by email and published on www.uclshrp.com.
- The results of the appointment of officers will be published a week after the elections.
