External: Be a Human Rights lawyer

5th May 2011, 13:00-17:30h
The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London
Tagged As: UK, Human Rights

Come and hear about how human rights campaigners, solicitors, academics, civil servants and barristers started out. Join a breakout session where everyone will get a chance to ask questions about internships, applications and interviews. Get frank advice from practitioners and hear from some of the UK’s leading human rights lawyers.

When you register for this event you will be asked to select which ONE of the breakout sessions you would prefer to attend. Please only select ONE of the eight options.

1.  Barrister/Solicitor
2.  Solicitor/NGO/Government
3.  NGO/Barrister/Academia
4.  Government/Barrister
5.  Solicitor/ Barrister/NGO
6.  Academia/Solicitor/Barrister
7.  Academia/Solicitor
8.  Government/Solicitor/NGO

We will endeavour to allocate participants to the breakout session of their choice. However, the group sizes are limited and so places will be allocated on a first come, first served. Even if you are not allocated your breakout session of preference, we would stress that the day still offers you extremely valuable exposure to some of the country’s leading human rights practitioners. Furthermore, our speakers will be around throughout the afternoon and at the evening reception to answer any further questions you may have.
