Rwanda: Human Rights Projects Launched
Last updated on 4th September 2008 at 12:20 am |
Human rights are playing an increasing role in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. Three projects have been launched by the AJEPRODOH organization in an attempt to promote human rights in the area. This joint enterprise aims to combat poverty, reduce domestic violence and encourage the involvement of individuals in the management of local affairs. As a gesture of hospitality, the Rwf 71,475,900 scheme is being funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA).
The viability and effectiveness of the program depends on the involvement of government members as well as citizens. This, in turn, should not only increase the standard of living of many Rwandans but foster a spirit of unity in a country long struck with terror.
